Anselm Kiefer, who first visited MASS MoCA in 1990 when it was still in the early planning stages, ranks among the best-known and most important contemporary German artists living and working today.
Anselm Kiefer's work was first exhibited at MASS MoCA in 2009-2010 in the main galleries, but in a major new collaboration with the Hall Art Foundation, MASS MoCA has become home to a long-term exhibition of Anselm Kiefer's sculpture and paintings. The installation is within a 10,000 square-foot building specially re-purposed by the Hall Art Foundation to be devoted to Kiefer's art. On view seasonally through 2028. 64 pages. Hardcover.
